Mr. Joshua Symons is honorary research fellow in the Division of Surgery within the Department of Surgery and Cancer, Faculty of Medicine. Previously he worked on a research project which involved parsing news and social media sources for critical information related to health care within the United Kingdom, including policy, social concern, social awareness, and various other topics.  Currently working with NHS patient safety data in regards to redesigning and improving data capture as well as providing trending and statistical analysis for the existing data. Data architect responsible for integration of medical data sources for the Big Data & Analytical Unit (BDAU).
