ICPS provides a platform to allow experts in Patient Safety to come together to create a momentum in the advancement of Healthcare Quality and Patient safety.<\/p><p>Historically, Riphah International University has been organizing the International Conference on Patient Safety on annual basis since 2016. In May 2016, Riphah Institute of healthcare Improvement &amp; Safety (RIHIS) organized the <strong>1<sup>st<\/sup> ICPS<\/strong> with the theme <strong>\u201cPatient Safety \u2013 Right or Privilege\u201d<\/strong>. Moving on 2017, we successfully held <strong>2<sup>nd<\/sup> ICPS<\/strong> with the theme <strong>\u201cValue Based Healthcare\u201d<\/strong> and in 2018 we moved to <strong>3<sup>rd<\/sup> ICPS<\/strong> with the theme <strong>\u201cFrom Knowledge to Improvement.\u201d<\/strong> In 2019 the theme of the <strong>4<sup>th<\/sup> ICPS <\/strong>was <strong>\u201cSpeak up for Patient Safety\u201d<\/strong>. In 2020 and 2021 the COVID 19 pandemic put the conference gathering on hold and RIHIS focused its energies on multiple online forums to meet the need of the day.<\/p><p><strong>Objectives of the Conference are:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>To create awareness about patient safety, medical errors and healthcare quality in Pakistan and the region.<\/li><li>To help in developing a patient-centric mindset.<\/li><li>To build a capacity of professionals, involved in the process of delivering quality healthcare and managing patient safety in their institutions.<\/li><li>To bring together the stakeholders in Pakistan on this important subject objectives<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Our Mission<\/strong><\/p><p>\u201cThe mission of this conference is to provide safe &amp; quality health services to all patients in Pakistan.\u201d<\/p><p>To initiate and support this journey of patient safety in Pakistan, we had invited the top leaders in patient safety from across the world and gathering relevant local stakeholders to share &amp; learn from their relevant knowledge, expertise and experiences<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Riphah Institute of Healthcare Improvement &amp; Safety (RIHIS) has been organizing the region\u2019s largest International Conference on Patient Safety (ICPS) annually for the last 5 years which draws key opinion leaders, domain experts, regulators, academia, and other stakeholders working in this space from all over the world.
